Payment methods

Which payment methods do you accept?

You can pay with credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna or Shop Pay.

Is it safe to shop and pay online?

Your security is our top priority. Apart from the fact that your data will only be used for the delivery of your order and will not be passed on to third parties(data protection declaration), you have, depending on the payment method, a buyer protection set up especially for you. Your payment data is only required by the respective provider of the online payment system (PayPal, Apple Pay, ...) and is not passed on to us. In addition, all data transmitted when calling up our online shop is encrypted using an SSL certificate, so that third parties have no possibility of reading or listening to the communication on the net. Shipping & Delivery

Within Germany, we always ship all our products insured with DHL. We usually ship your order within 3-5 working days. Within Germany, the delivery time is a further 3-5 working days. Please note that delivery times may be delayed around public holidays. If you do not receive your package within the standard delivery times, please contact us. From a minimum order value of €95, shipping is free for you within Germany.

What shipping options and delivery methods are available?

Within Germany, we always ship all our products insured with DHL.
To the rest of the world, we ship insured with Deutsche Post.

Shipping costs €4.75 within Germany and €7.35 outside Germany. Shipping is free for orders with a minimum order value of €95.

Can I order abroad?

Clear! We ship our products both within and outside Europe. Please note that for shipments to other EU countries, delivery times may vary depending on the country. You can find more information here. For shipments to Norway, Switzerland and all shipments outside the EU, there may be additional delays due to customs.

Shipping outside Germany is €7.35.

How long does it take for my order to reach me?

Delivery times depend on your location and may vary depending on the country. You can find more information here. We usually ship your order within 3-5 business days. Within Germany the delivery time is another 3-5 working days, within the EU 5-8 working days. Please note that delivery times may be delayed around public holidays. If you do not receive your package within the standard delivery times, please contact us.

What can I do if I have not received my order?

How do I return my item(s)?

Is there anything wrong with the item or is it damaged? Then please contact us so that we can solve the problem. If this is not possible, or you have received the wrong item, then you can simply return the item to us within 14 days. To do so, please fill out the cancellation form attached to your order confirmation and include it with your shipment. We ask you to inform us before you return your item, usually a faster and better solution can be found.
We would like to point out that due to the amendment of the right of withdrawal the cost of return bears the buyer.

How do I order an item?

Select the products you would like to order by clicking the "Add to cart" button. This will place your selection in the shopping cart. You can change this selection at any time until you submit your order by changing the number of products, deleting the selection by clicking the "x" button or cancelling the order process. By clicking on the button "Checkout" or "Proceed to checkout" you will proceed to the next step of the order process.

How do I edit the contents of my shopping cart?

Simply click on the small shopping basket at the top right. You can edit the contents directly here or by clicking on the "View shopping basket" button. You can change your selection at any time until you submit your order by changing the number of products, deleting the selection by clicking the "x" button or cancelling the order process. Click on "Update shopping cart" to save your changes. By clicking on the button "Checkout" or "Proceed to checkout" you will proceed to the next step of the ordering process.

How can I cancel or change my order?

In principle, it is not possible to cancel or change your order. However, it can happen that you accidentally put the wrong item in the shopping cart or make a mistake with the quantity. We therefore ask you to always check your order carefully before you send it. If you do make a mistake, please contact us immediately after your purchase. We will do our best to help you.

Will I receive a copy of my invoice?

Of course. A copy of your invoice will be sent to you by e-mail immediately after your purchase. If you would like to have your invoice not only digitally, you have the option to print it out. On request, we can also send you your invoice by post. If you have not received an invoice by e-mail, please contact us.

How do I redeem my voucher?

Select the products you would like to order, place them in the shopping cart and proceed to the next order step by clicking on the "Checkout" or "Proceed to checkout" button. Here you can redeem your voucher at the top of the page. The voucher will be automatically deducted from your order and listed on the right-hand side in the order overview. Please note that vouchers are only valid for a certain period of time and may not apply to all items or cannot be combined with certain offers and discounts.

What can I do if my voucher code is not recognised?

From time to time you may receive an error message when you try to use a voucher code. There can be a number of different reasons for this. If the voucher code has expired, you can no longer use it. If it is not recognised, you should first make sure that you are using the voucher code correctly. Make sure that the voucher code applies to all items in your shopping bag and note that it may not be combinable with certain offers and discounts. If none of these apply to your voucher code, check that you have entered it correctly. Look for extra spaces, incorrect character order and/or typos. Be aware of upper/lower case. Check that the caps lock key is activated and look for capital letters. Make sure you do not confuse the numbers 0/1 with the letters O/I or vice versa. If you are sure that your voucher code is valid for your order but it still does not work, please contact us.

Do I have to open an account to shop in the online shop?

No. When you place an order in our online shop, you can decide whether or not your data should be saved for future orders.

Bal Designs bag

We believe in a clean environment. That's why we upcycle basketballs and design unique bags. Each Bal Designs bag is unique and handmade in Cologne. Sustainable and fair.

Why is the number of some items limited to 1?

Each product by Bal Designs is unique and does not exist a second time. Most products are made from individually collected, discarded basketballs, giving them their distinctive unique selling points.

Why doesn't my product look exactly like the product pictures?

Bal Design's products are all one-of-a-kind and each bag and pencil case is unique. Most products are made from individually collected, discarded basketballs, giving them their distinctive unique selling points. However, one ball can often be used to create more than one case or bag, which is why your product may differ slightly from the product images due to small details. Your product is always made from the same basketball as the one in the product picture.

Why doesn't my bag come in additional product packaging?

Every year, almost 18 million tonnes of packaging are consumed and turned into waste. And that is in Germany alone. We don't want to be part of that and pollute our environment with it. That's why we don't add any additional packaging to our products. Your Bal Designs product will be shipped in a stable package that offers protection and stability for your Bal Designs bag.

Can you make me a bag or a case out of my own basketball?

Yes, we can! The diversity and uniqueness is what Bal designs and our cases are all about. We would be happy to make your personal pencil case or bag out of your old basketball. Please contact us via our contact form.

Can you also make me a case out of other balls? For example, a volleyball?

If the ball is not too small (e.g. a handball), it is usually possible. Please contact us about this via our contact form.
