Designer Rita Balta comes from Vilnius and, after working in Vienna and Warsaw, now lives in Cologne. She founded Bal Designs in 2011 and became an ambassador for the EU environmental campaign "Generation Awake" in 2016.

We source our material from local schools and clubs and upcycle old basketballs that would otherwise end up in the trash. The rough and robust leather is the ideal material for our bags.
